It’s Snowmobile Safety Week which comes at a time during a winter storm over the weekend.
Running until January 21st, OPP are out promoting safe riding.
Police are reminding riders they must carry their drivers license or snowmobile operators card while they ride adding if your drivers license is suspended you are still prohibited from driving a snowmobile.
Snowmobile drivers can still be charged for speeding and impaired driving.
Snowmobiles must not be driven on private property without the owners permission and trail permits are required to use on approved snowmobile trails when they are declared open for use.
