As Volunteer Week continues, more and more are being recognized for their work in the community.
For small towns, its work from volunteers in groups and organizations which keep the area thriving with local support staying strong.
Minto Mayor George Bridge says volunteers are the reason the Town of Minto keeps up their great work.
“We couldn’t do what we do as far as the things we do for the town and recreation and supporting all kinds of events and projects if we didn’t have our volunteer base.” said Mayor Bridge.
The downtown beautification of Minto also continues to grow as council recently approved two new murals for one in Palmerston and another in Harriston for the summer.
