The Special Investigations Unit has dropped its investigation into the arrest of an19 year old.
The SIU was notified of an arrest just a few days after the incident on June 1st in front of the Circle K convenience store in connection to an assault.
The accused had contacted Hanover Police on June 4th saying his wrist was fractured after the arresting officer put on handcuffs too tightly.
SIU Director Joseph Martino says the accused refused to release his medical records or provide a statement during preliminary inquires.
Martino found there wasn’t enough evidence of a serious injury to warrant further investigation and as such the case has been closed.
