On December 11th at around 12:15am, Perth County OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Road 164 in North Perth.
When officers arrived they found a truck in a ditch and while speaking with the driver, it became apparent they had consumed alcohol and displaying signs of impairment.
The driver was placed under arrest and taken to hospital as a precaution.
As a result a 73 year old from Brussels has been charged with Operation while Impaired, Assaulting an Officer While Carrying a Weapon and Resisting a Peace Officer.
The accused will appear in Stratford court at a later date.
