A few months ago, Stratford had a robot roll throughout the city sweeping sidewalks and now it can be found in Erin.
This is the 2nd year the town has contracted the use of the robot sidewalk sweeper with a cost of $1400 HST from Top Hat Robotics.
Inspection first started on August 16th and will continue to roam throughout the sidewalks of Erin for the next few days. Information is collected with the help of a camera system which scans for any flaws in the sidewalk from cracks to elevation changes.
The data is then uploaded to a mapping system which provides the location and details of repairs of what would need to be done.
