In the Spring, North Perth was awarded $1,842,132 in funding towards the development of a regional Technology and Skills Learning Hub.
Now taking the name Set7 Skills & Technology North Perth & Region. Manager of Strategic Initiatives Jessica McLean says the overall success since the launch has soared offering training and growth opportunities locally for employees and job seekers.
“To date, Set7 has trained 119 individuals, this includes 25 unemployed individuals. The target population for our training is employees who want to up their skill and the unemployed.” said McLean.
Set7 will be supported for an additional three years should an application to Round 3 of the Skills Development Fund be approved.
Programs included will be Development of a Skills Passport, PSW Micro-credential and Development of a Home Daycare Program.
