Wellington County currently has 51 active cases of COVID-19. As cases continue to rise everyone is being asked to do their part in stopping the spread.

Section 22 orders under the Health Protection and Promotion Act were delivered to elders of many Old Order Mennonite Communities across Mapleton, Minto and Wellington North. The order includes the temporary closure of churches and schools.

Rita Isley, Chief Nursing Officer for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph said public health has been working with the mennonite community so they stay up to date with the virus and ensure they’re taking the right steps to prevent it.
