Fire Chief Bill Hunter and the Perth East West Perth Fire Department issued an update on social media this afternoon saying that the focus area is expanding in search for the 10 year old girl who fell through the ice at Whirl Creek in Mitchell last weekend.
The efforts are now expanding south to St. Marys.
Milt Dunnell Field was closed this morning as the Local Fire Department there organized a crew of nearly a dozen firefighters.
Assisting the crew on the ground is the OPP helicopter that has been patrolling since Tuesday.
