The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board has been successful in acquiring a STEM grant from Nuclear Waste management Ontario aimed at fostering science, skilled trades and more for learning opportunities across Huron County schools.
The grant has allowed the school board to invest in cutting edge educational resources and boost learning for students and prepare them for the demands of the 21st century workforce.
The main focus of the grant was for the purchase of LEGO Spike prime kits, giving students hands on experience in robotics and coding.
The grant also will facilitate workshops for grade 7 and 8 classes provided by the University of Waterloo Engineering Outreach Program.
