After 15 years, Riverfest Elora is pulling the plug on the Elora festival.
In a statement officials say the reality is stark, costs have surged, revenues have fallen behind and the changing festival landscape has made it impossible to sustain the model they have tried to keep alive.
The decision was made with immense care, reflection and respect for the festival’s legacy.
Since 2023, its said expenses have grown and outpaced revenues with losses of more than $1.2 million over three short seasons.
The team has sent their thanks to the volunteers, community partners, artists and those who attended and helped create memories together which will always remain.
