Returning to the GOJHL

2 teams have already chosen to opt out of the upcoming GOJHL season

Junior hockey across Canada is huge and with everything that has impacted it this year it leaves a big question of what to do for the upcoming season.

Some teams within the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League have already pulled the plug on participation and other teams following suit is always possible. As Jason Brooks, head coach of the Listowel Cyclones says, you can’t predict what’s to come during this time.

“It’s always a possibility. With everything being so uncertain, you just don’t know what’s going to transpire” said Brooks.

The upcoming season has seen 2 teams opt out from the Golden Horseshoe Division. The Welland Canadiens have chosen to sit the season while Buffalo announced they wouldn’t participate last month due to border restrictions saying it wasn’t the right decision to play and put players health across the league at risk.
