It was a record breaking month for PC Connect in February.
The rural transit service had 641 rides last month, something well beyond the previous month and three times the amount of ridership from the same time last year.
Transit Project Coordinator Maggie Kerr while speaking at Perth County council on Thursday says overall their ridership is seeing a steady increase and they are putting their focus on to ensure more riders.
“In order to continue to move on this positive growth trend we are focusing on continuous marketing and outreach efforts.” said Kerr.
The support has been seen from the government with the Ministry of Transportation providing $749,000 in funding to keep the service from running a deficit.
PC Connect will continue to be funded for another year until March 31st 2025.
