The Hanover Fire Department has received support from PWU Connects directed towards the technical rescue program.
The donation has allowed the fire department to purchase two Ruth Lee underwater mannequins, giving rescue teams the ability to train and hone underwater search skills in various environments and conditions.
The department says the training is more than just finding a mannequin, is about helping the team improve using sonar and underwater ROV to systematically search, identify and locate victims underwater.
