Huron-Perth Public Health and Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health have received funding from the province to support public health initiatives and service delivery.
The funding of $1,372,606 is part of a $60.09 million investment in additional one time funding for public health units across Ontario.
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health will see a bulk of the funding at $884,206 while Huron Perth Public Health receives $488,400.
MPP Matthew Rae says this investment supports prevention, preparedness and the front line services families depend on every day.
