Huron-Perth Public Health is preparing for its next wave of COVID-19 vaccines as well as for the flu season.
Health Canada recently approved an updated COVID-19 vaccine for individuals six months and older to protect against a current circulating variant.
On top of the vaccine, flu shots will also soon be available for the most vulnerable in the region.
The general public will also have access to the flu shot as of October 30th with doctor and nurse practitioner offices and participating pharmacies being able to administer them.
Public health is working alongside their long term care partners to ensure the most at risk have access to available vaccines.
