The Provincial Government introduced The More Homes for Everyone Bill today that they say will take action at working to increase housing supply.
The bill proposes smart, targeted policies that address the process to get housing built faster and more easily while protecting home buyers, owners and renters.
Municipalities would see new powers through the Community Infrastructure and Housing Accelerator.
Measures would also be put in place to streamline subdivision and site plan approval processes.
And Municipalities would have to refund zoning by-law amendment fees after January 1st of next year if they don’t make a decision by a pre-set timeline.
