Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott has said that the Province is examining letting all residents 12 years and over book their second dose appointment weeks or even months ahead of previously scheduled.

Those 80 and up were recently fast tracked for their second dose, with those 70 and over joining them shortly.

Ontario hadn’t previously planned to move up second doses outside of that until at least August 9th.

The move is seen as letting anyone who wants to receive their second dose get it as soon as possible and also to combat the growing Delta Covid-19 variant that originated in India that is currently almost 25 percent of all Covid-19 cases diagnosed in Ontario.
