Province announces health & safety blitz focused on hot-spot regions

Inspections will be focused on hot-spot regions of the Province

 

The Ontario Government announced today that they will begin a targeted provincewide inspections of construction sites beginning tomorrow.

The Ministry is sending 200 provincial workplace inspectors, as well as offenses officers to 1300 construction sites to ensure enforcement of safety requirements.

They will also visit 500 workplaces, including big box stores, food processors, manufacturers and warehouses in Ottawa, Toronto and York Region, which have been identified as hot spots for Covid-19.
