Questions surrounding the 400 million dollar float glass factory being proposed for Southwest Stratford continue to grow.
Citizens continue to raise concerns this week including from prominent musician Loreena McKennit and local Stratford lawyer Paul Parlee.
The residents are asking for answers on various topics of concern including when exactly local politicians debated the requirements of the project and how the Planning Act’s Minister’s Zoning Order was used to designate specific lands for the glass-making plant without consulting the public.
Both McKennit and Parlee have asked for a response from City Council by December 3rd.
They have also asked that there be a moratorium on further activity related to the proposed development until the issues raised by the public have been thoroughly and transparently addressed.
