The Alma Community Recreation Association is looking at installing a covered multi use pad at Wallace Cummings Park.
The proposed facility is part of the park’s master plan which was approved by Mapleton council back in 2006.
Since then various projects have been completed including a playground, walking trail, picnic shelter, community centre, beach volleyball court and more.
The proposed pad would include a refrigeration system and be 50 by 100 feet.
The facility is being proposed in phases with the final cost going beyond $1 million.
