A public meeting will be held on June 20th online about information on a proposed Indigenous Gathering Circle.
Located at the Wellington Place campus in Aboyne, the circle is intended to provide a land based natural space for education, healing and inclusion.
In a release, Wellington Place Administrator Jana Burns says the county’s advisory committee had originally requested space to grow ceremonial medicines but the project expanded further to expand to a dedicated two acre area of land on the campus.
The location of the circle will be behind the Wellington Place Child Care and Learning Centre, the Wellington County Museum and Archives and the Aboyne Public Library branch.
The meeting on June 20th will be to share with the public to provide input and ask questions.
