Project Safe Trade could make its way to West Perth.
The program is designed to help online buyers and sellers meet in a safe place to complete a transaction. Online ads and auctions can often be used to sell stolen property and could present safety threats.
In a way to increase public safety, OPP have made various safe zones in the community to make online trades more smooth, including in Listowel outside the municipal building on 330 Wallace Avenue North.
Certain options are currently being considered as to where in Mitchell a community safe zone could be placed for residents
