Project Lifesaver Helps Locate Missing 49 Year Old

 

Huron County OPP say it was with the help of Project Lifesaver equipment, they were able to locate a missing Central Huron resident.

OPP say Brian went missing on April 16th just before 7pm.

Police learned the missing 49 year old who has Down Syndrome was registered with Project Lifesaver and was wearing their transmitter bracelet.

Officers used equipment with Project Lifesaver and were able to locate the missing man within 20 minutes.

Brian was located on a private property where two dogs had been aggressive with him.

Project Lifesaver was introduced in Huron County in 2018 and uses radio frequency technology to assist locating individuals who might become lost including those with Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome or have acquired a brain injury or other type of cognitive impairment.
