The fire at the Listowel Memorial Hospital in late May is still leaving its mark at the hospital but good progress is being made.
The Listowel-Wingham Hospitals Alliance Board of Directors sent their thanks to local Perth EMS supporting all transfers during the fire and aftermath.
On June 3rd inpatient beds opened and were ready to accept admissions who currently have 26 beds for inpatient care who have hopes to return to normal operations in a few weeks.
The restoration company is currently doing a deep clean of the entire unit including all wires, ducts and piping in the ceiling.
Staff are also replacing bedding, cushions, mattresses and other supplies that could not be salvaged.
