Premier Doug Ford is expected to announce the extension of lockdown in Toronto and Peel.
Recently medical officers of health in those cities requested from the chief medical officer an extension of 2 weeks of lockdown to keep COVID-19 numbers down and avoid another spike in cases.
As of right now, lockdown in Toronto and Peel are set to expire February 22nd at midnight.
Ford said Thursday he would likely grant the request of the lockdown extension.
