You can likely expect an increased police presence in Palmerston to watch for speeders on Queen Street South.

Black Cat speed radars have kept track of speeds across various areas in Wellington County, including in Palmerston.

Over the course of 15 days the speeds of over 5000 vehicles were monitored on Queen Street South, showing 85 per cent of vehicles were clocked at going 15km over the posted 50km/hr speed limit.

Wellington OPP inspector Paul Richardson says this cause of concern will lead to increased enforcement of police.
