The playground equipment at Victoria Park in Centre Wellington has been removed.
The decision made by Centre Wellington staff comes as the playground was closed suddenly last month due to structural damage to the slide at the park in Fergus.
Staff looked at the idea of replacing the slide but have decided to just replace the entire structure at the park.
The playground equipment was removed on Thursday with the 2024 budget to include the park replacement.
There is plans to have new equipment installed next spring.
