Today is Pink Shirt Day, highlighting the importance of bully prevention and engaging in conversations to make sure everyone is safe and welcome.
For the Avon Maitland District School Board, Pink Shirt Day is more than just wearing pink and opposing bullying but to stick to its key principles in keeping safe schools.
Students are reminded to always confide in a parent or guardian and caregivers with any information.
The board also has access to an anonymous reporting tool to provide an extra layer safety.
AMDSB has many ways to define conflict but stresses, its a solution which can usually be found.
