Computer pop up scams are hitting locals with a victim losing $320,000 in a fraud case.

In November last year, a Perth East resident got a pop up telling them to call a provided number due to a security breach.

The person on the other line claimed to be from Microsoft and remote access was given to the victims computer and their finances were compromised.

The victim was told to take cash from their bank totaling $80,000 and to purchase $240,000 worth of 100g gold bars from an online company.

The gold was delivered to the victims home and picked up by the scammers.

The persons of interest are Asian men between 25-35 years of age with short dark hair.

A White Lexus Sedan and dark coloured small sedans are vehicles of interest.
