Perth County council has approved the release of the updated Draft Official Plan and will now kick off public engagement.
The plan is to help guide future planning and development across the county.
Following the release of the first draft this winter, significant work has been done to prepare an updated draft Official Plan document in response to community feedback.
Highlights of the next phase of the plan includes launching a new online interactive map, the release of the updated Draft Official Plan Policy Text and more chances to connect with the planning team in each local municipal office.
Perth County Warden Rhonda Ehgoetz says they are confident the revised document and polices reflect the needs of the community and will support the county’s growth for many years to come.
