Perth County OPP sees 94 Speeding Charges Laid in Labour Day Weekend Safety Campaign

The Perth County OPP released the final stats following the recent Labour Day Long Weekend Road Safety campaign across the Region.

The campaign ran from September 2nd to 5th and focused on the big 4 causes of serious collisions; impaired, distracted, and aggressive driving, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Of the total of 157 charges laid over the weekend, 94 were for speeding, 7 for not wearing a seatbelt, 3 for impaired, and 40 for other traffic charges.

Police responded to 2 collisions during the campaign with only reporting minor injuries.
