Perth County OPP investigating Man Impersonating Police after Incident Last Sunday

Driver was stopped on Perth Line 88 in North Perth by an individual in a black Dodge Charger with bar and lights on the front grill with no markings.

The Perth County OPP is investigating a person impersonating a Police Officer after an incident Sunday.

They responded to the report from a driver who had been stopped on Perth Line 88 in North Perth.

The driver was approached by a white, heavy-set male, approximately in his 50’s, navy blue outfit and white New Balance running shoes.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black Dodge Charger with bar and lights on the front grill with no markings.

The investigation is ongoing.

The OPP reminders citizens they can ask a police officer to provide the name of their service, detachment, badge number, rank officer’s badge and warrant card.

They should be able to provide it without delay.
