A Perth County Councillor has been found to have breached the code of conduct by the County’s Integrity Commission.

The findings by Dasha Peregoudova, who is also a labour and employment lawyer with a Toronto law firm, were presented at yesterday’s council meeting.

Daryl Herlick was docked one day’s pay as a result of the report which stemmed from comments he made regarding a mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy for non-unionized county employees at a closed door meeting on November 4th.

The comments made were found to have breached the general integrity clause in the code of conduct due to them being of an aggressive, offensive or abusive nature.

This is his second violation of the code in the past year.
