Perth County Council Votes to Develop Anti-Racism Charter

Vote comes following demonstrations from Multicultural Association

Perth County council has voted to develop an anti-racism charter.

After the Multicultural Association of Perth-Huron held demonstrations in Stratford calling on council to develop charter and ensure all voices are heard, council voted to begin the develop during their meeting Thursday.

This also comes just almost 3 months after a call from North Perth Mayor Todd Kasenberg wanted a charter made but was shot down from council.

Council revisited the discussion on December 4th following much public backlash.
