Higher level of traffic is making its way across Perth County.
Following a recent council meeting, Perth County council voted in favour of installing temporary traffic lights at the intersection of Perth Road 140 and Perth Line 91 (Wellington Roads 8 and 9) to stem the flow of traffic and reduce accidents in the area locally known as the “S-Bends.”
Wellington County staff in the past has requested a roundabout at the intersection due to recent fatal collisions, including this past August after a failure to yield.
The temporary traffic signals will be in place likely until roundabout construction can start.
