Perth County is following in the steps of the federal and provincial government for banning TikTok of government devices.
The main reason for the ban seen across the country’s government persons is due to security.
The platform has seen its range of privacy concerns due to the Chinese governments stake in the owner, ByteDance and the laws in China which allow it to access user data.
Perth County isn’t the first to follow behind the feds or provincial government.
Guelph also has banned the app from any devices they own as well as Guelph Police.
Toronto and London has also banned the app from government issued devices.
