Perth County Council voted in their regular meeting today to approve a renovation to add a modern elevator to the Historic County Courthouse.
The building originally opened in 1887 will see the addition of the accessibility feature at a cost of just over $1 million dollars.
The Court House is home to both County Administration staff as well as the Superior Court.
A date for the groundbreaking or construction schedule has not been released.
