Despite the overwhelming support and utility of the PC Connect public transit system, some changes are being made to better utilize its access and improve service.
The overall usage of PC Connect has been strong since it first launched, seeing an increase of 106% since May.
While some routes are being used regularly, Maggie Kerr, Transit Project Coordinator says changes need to be made to Route B and its poor ridership.
“To date, our route B ridership average less than 1 rider a day. Our route B Saturday ridership averages 3 rides per month compared to an average of 14 on route A.” said Kerr.
Services to change for Route B will include removing stops at Sebringville, Stratford and Perth South as well as removing the Saturday route.
With the cuts in certain routes, four are now being conducted with two more now being able to be added in.
