Perth County’s local transit is making changes to their routes next month.
PC Connect starting September 5th will begin to offer increased trips on its “Rural Route” by adding four new trips from Monday-Friday.
The new route schedule will provide riders with more times to travel from Listowel, Mitchell, Milverton, Stratford and the communities in-between.
By adding new trips, PC Connect will also remove “Route B” which Transit Project Coordinator, Maggie Kerr says the reason is due to low ridership for the specific route, its also not really needed given the coming changes.
“It was a lot of repetition so there was already other routes that service St Marys, Stratford and Mitchell so we just saw an opportunity to improve the other routes.” said Kerr.
PC Connect since its launch in November of 2020 has served over 23,000 riders over its fleet of five buses.
