Huron County Paramedic Services are continuing to roll out the Cool Aid program.
This initiative is designed to improve the delivery of vital care during emergencies which involves distributing out information cards which contains health details and enables paramedics to provide timely and effective assistance.
The Cool Aid card holds critical health information including drug prescriptions, dosages, known allergies, medical history and emergency contact phone numbers.
Jeff Horseman, Director of Emergency Services says by having vital health information readily available the paramedic team can make informed decisions which supports the safety of residents.
Huron County Paramedics are urging all residents with pre-existing medical conditions or taking prescription medications to fill out and display these cards which are available at all pharmacies in Huron County.
