Residents of the Town of Palmerston remain on high alert after a string of vandalism at the park on William Street.
The most recent incident was reported on January 5th.
The vandalism done to Lions Heritage Park by unknown suspects include damage to the park’s waterfall feature last summer and items stolen from the shed on the property.
The park’s pavilion has also been vandalized, including soffits being damaged, lights being removed, wires taken presumably in the assumption of the value the copper, graffiti sprayed on buildings, trees uprooted, litter, broken glass and facility lighting damaged.
The Wellington County OPP has urged any suspicious behaviour at the park, and at any location, be reported immediately to police at 1-888-310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers Anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
