It’s a massive boost of support for the Palmerston & District Hospital Foundation who were the recipient of a bequest from the late Neil Faulkner.
A bequest of $1.3 million was made, directing the funds to the MRI campaign for the hospital.
Ron Faulkner, Neil’s nephew says the hospital is an important institution in the community and they were happy to have their uncle’s bequest be used for such a good cause within the community.
In December 2022 the province announced a new MRI machine would be coming to the Palmerston hospital but it fell on the foundation to raise the $8 million needed for the machine, retrofitting the space, installation and training.
