The increased in hamper requests in the last few months has been strain on the Palmerston Food Bank and the call for goods has been made.
The food bank says any and all help is greatly appreciated with a higher need for breakfast cereal, pasta sauce, kraft dinner, kids snacks and peanut butter.
The food bank adds items such as open or used, damaged packaging, expired or homemade food and perishables unless requested will not be accepted.
