It’s fair season across the area and the Palmerston Agricultural Society is in full swing for the Palmerston Fair this weekend.
Taking on the name “Where Have You Been” takes place at the Palmerston Arena and has no cost to attend.
The fair kicks off Friday night with the parade down the main road, a variety of activities on Saturday such as a chili cook off and dog agility show on Sunday.
Kaylee Rice with the Palmerston Fair says there is plenty of unique things to see and do, including the zucchini races.
“Bring your own zucchini, we might have a few leftover, we have wheels and axels already prepared and we help put the cars together and race down a track” said Rice.
The Palmerston Fair carries its rich history back to 1879-1896 first sponsored by the Palmerston Horticultural Society. This years fair runs from August 25th-27th.
