All is set to go starting tomorrow at the Palmerston Curling Club for the Ontario Elementary Curling Championship.
64 teams across the province from grades 1-8 are taking part in the championship and running throughout the rest of the week.
Round robin games start on Thursday with the playoffs on Saturday and the championships on Sunday.
Chrissie Schneider, President of the Palmerston Curling Club says they’ve transformed the Palmerston Arena into another sheet of curling ice for the week.
“So we have transformed the arena into a curling rink. Sunday morning we started the transformation so we have 8 sheets of curling at the Palmerston Arena and Curling Club. It’s been pretty neat to see that transformation.” said Schneider.
Admission to check out the games over the week is free. The opening ceremonies start tomorrow at 1pm.
