Its been a few weeks now since Wellington County began the Automated Speed Enforcement Camera campaign and staff have already seen a heavy volume of tickets in those 2 weeks.

During a county council meeting, Roads Chair Gregg Davidson says the program is all around protecting those in the area with over 7000 tickets being issued from the cameras.

Cameras have been placed at designated community safety zones in Palmerston, Mount Forest, Drayton, Fergus and Aberfoyle.

There will be more in Hillsburgh and Rockwood but are still waiting for Hydro One approval.
