It was another successful gala for the Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Held this past Saturday at the Listowel Golf Club, the Gala celebrated 11 years and took on theme “Puttin on the Ritz.”
The gala was complete with dinner, live entertainment and a slew of items for the silent and live auction.
Foundation Administrator Mich Matheson says with around $510,000 net raised the proceeds will go directly for 2 projects.
“This year’s proceeds are going to a Chemistry Analyzer for the Lab. It’s a large piece of lab equipment that measures certain concentrations in peoples blood, it’s a vital piece. The other project is for IV Pumps for the entire hospital. Those projects alone are $480,000. Any excess will go to support other equipment.” said Matheson.
With the annual fundraising wrapped up, the foundation is looking ahead to future events such as a car and motorcycle poker rally in Kurtzville in September which hasn’t been done since 2019.
