The Downie Optimist Community Hall in St Pauls is receiving some funding for renovations to the Perth South hall.
More than $200,000 is being given through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program. Upgrades and renovations for the community hall is expected to cost roughly $275,000.
40 per cent of costs are covered from the federal government, a third from the province with remaining being paid for from the Municipality of Perth South.
Work on the hall includes new paint, installation of a drop ceiling to reduce space needed for heating, new LED lighting and complete reworks of the bar, kitchen and bathrooms.
Work is expected to be finished by spring of 2022.
