With the school year now underway, opposition parties are calling on the Ford government to extend paid sick days.
Currently three paid sick days are available for working families which other parties, such as the NDP say is not enough as parents must choose between working and providing for their families or take care of their children.
Students are required to isolate for 10 days should they be exposed to COVID-19 which opposition says can cause issues to parents if they only have 3 days of paid sick leave.
