A 39 year old from Simcoe is facing charges after crashing a stolen vehicle.
On May 6th, Perth County OPP was dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Road 111 in Perth East.
Officers arrived and found an abandoned vehicle in a field. Police went to a nearby residence and found an injured man.
The male confirmed he was the driver and that he stole the vehicle. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
As a result the 39 year old was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Driving while under Suspension and Failing to Remain.
The accused will appear in Stratford court on June 12th.
